I know lots of people here like to ID birds. Saw this guy today. He was singing for about 3 hours. Really beautiful sounds coming from him
(btw I live in Latvia - that might help)

It is a Latvian Wide Mouthed Yellow Singer. It is also known by it's scientific name of

Openwideus singasongis

It may actually be a yellow-bellied yodeller!

Hmmm, looking at the edges of its beak I would say its a juvenile `something`. Certainly a member of the Thrush family. Juvenile Thrush Nightingale maybe?

It's a tenor. He's singing Zoraida di Granata by Bartolomeo Merelli.

Yes it does look to be a part of the Thrush family. I think it is a Veery

Pretty certain it's a Nightingale. www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/name/n/nightingale/index.aspx

Yup, I think Lyn has nailed it. The shot in the OP is a juvenile Nightingale. Here is a pic of an adult.

Cool, you guys are great. Asked a a few people from around here. Its a Thrush nightingale, it exists in this region. From what they told me the nighting gale doesnt exist here, and the difference is the brown spots in the chest
