Well the day after my first wedding as a primary. I'm waking up still tired and wore out. Even with the extra hour I still hurt and need sleep! Anyway I downloaded everything before I got to bed last night. Pulled them into lightroom this morning to see what kind of damage I had done. BTW I had fellow DPCer drewbixcube shoot second for me, but havent even pulled his photos from the cards yet. Anyway I wanted to share a couple as I wait for my desk to dry after going through the library and finding . The main thing I try to capture at a wedding is emotion. This was certainly a fun group to work with. Happens to be my cousin is the groom. We had alot of fun yesterday and I think after I go through the ohh 2600 frames that Drew and I shot I should easily be able to over deliver for the happy couple.

A couple more I have picked out for quick teasers for the family, including one formal I printed before the reception for the Signature frame I gave them as my gift.

Side note to Drew, I think we can not shoot nearly as many next time!

That's a really nice shot with the flower girl Matt. Congratulations on the shoot.

eta: OMG 2600 shots! I often wonder how much time you wedding photographers spend on picking through and editing the keepers. :o

Thanks for the compliment, I actually missed flagging this one by the first time and actually like it better, obviously this is the other flowergirl. Next time I shoot one, I'll def clean the mirrors first. And yes 2600 is way more then I need. I just dwindled my batch down to 535 I am going to edit for proofs, then I'll start on Drew's. However I am NOT a wedding photographer, I have done a couple as seconds, and this is my first. I feel I am a long way from being a wedding photographer.

Matt

And yes I know there is a mirror challenge going on, but thanks for the PMs! :D

Holy crap Matt...that's a lot of pictures! But I guess that is to be expected between 2 photographers (each with 2 cameras)...both who might be considered a little trigger happy. Gleen my stuff down to the bare bones...hopefully there are a few helpful shots in there and a couple of candids.

It was a blast officially working with you. Keep us posted with what you can pick out of those 2600 files!

Hey Drew,

It was cool working with you yesterday as well. I will get with you tomorrow as soon as I know my plans to come to the big city. I have your photos in the computer and everything backed up so I will get these back to you quick. Thanks again for the help and as I said I likely have 2 more next spring, if you are available and I've decided not to kill the idea of doing one now and then I'd like to have you back again.

A couple more, my eyes and head hurt, I need sleep!

Edit again because as I laid down I came up with a few edit ideas.

One shameless bump, as I just sent the first set of proofs off to be printed(yes some people still do that!) and I have found my favorite photo out of 2600.

I printed it 8x10 and it is amazing.
