okay, have all of them been shipped to us? we get saturday delivery, but we are rural, so it helps to know if i should be expecting them or not -- keeps stuff from sitting outside, and stuff.

You mean to tell me that your letter carriers deliver on a Saturday!!!

Thats it we're moving to the US for no other reason then to get mail on a Saturday.

But six days a week for them, no wonder they go postal :-}

MAX!

You mean yours don't?????

Work six days a week or go postal

LOL both!!!

Could we get an idea of when they were mailed? My mail person just came and no calendars boo hoo. Anyway, I run into people that ordered them and they want to know when they are coming - lol and I have no idea of course. Just getting antsy :)

I just got a question about the calendar that i cannot answer - and I cannot tell from the small print on the order website. Were the names of the models printed in the calendar or just to whomever a quote was attributed to? I cannot read what is in the small white box on the month page and was wondering what was there.

It was whomever the quote was from, but both names should be on the blog, which is where every page of the calendar suggests you go to read more. :)

Seems we've been reposted AGAIN, and Google alerts notified me! (I'm really starting to like Google!) Yet another opportunity to get the word out! This time, it showed up in a financial newsletter - don't know HOW, but isn't that GREAT!?!?!

Reposted news article!

Well I got my calendars today and they look great!! Has anyone else gotten theirs, I presume they have as I would have guessed I would have been the last one to get mine seeming as they travelled half way round the world to get to me.

Everyone involved should pat themselves on the back as I think we all did a great job from start to finish. Obviously some worked harder than others but it wouldn't have come about without everyone involved regardless of how much they did, that also includes the models/survivors.

JOB WELL DONE!!!!!

One thing that I did notice which might be good to think about next time is there is nothing to hang the calendar up with. Usually there is a hole in the calendar to hang it on a nail.

no calendars here yet, according to the tracking they have been stuck in customs since last Sat :(

Here I was thinking I would be at a disadvantage postalwise being so far away.

None here yet either :((

Since someone is also making suggestions, I'd like to add mine. I think next time it would be nice to have all of the calendar girls names in the calendar. Here's why I say it...

One of my models, Ellen, has been so cute and GIDDY! And she has been out there selling them and so has her mom. (I do not think Ellen has hers yet either - yipes - but her mom does - yay!). Anyway - her mom, who is in her 80s I believe, has been flippin excited about this whole thing. She surprised everyone at Christmas by showing them the website - yay! And she even sent me a cute email. So, she was understanably disappointed when she got the calendar and her daughter's name was not in it.

I feel sad in a way, because this woman has shown incredible enthusiasm about this project and so I am just kind of bummed for her. I'm bringing this up, not as a complaint, but more to throw this into the suggestion pot should this project happen again.

And since I am writing, if someone could kindly send me a mailing date for my calendars so I will know whether or not they got lost in the mail - I'd appreciate it!

Do you mean all of the people that made it happen whether they be photographer or organiser. I think that is a good idea. Maybe a credit on the back saying it would not have been possible without the help of.....

Good idea about the credits. I did mean tho the models themselves - for posterity!

Ohhhh...,Do you know that in all the excitement I didn't notice that the model/survivors name wasn't on there. That is a bit of a bummer!

I thought that the models name was on the calendar page?
01/09/2008 09:48:26 PM · #222
Yes, the models name is ON the calendar page. It will say "July survivor is Jackie Stephenson" etc...
