I was not a Pittsburgh fan, but I loved Cowher. What a coach...
 |

I went to Cowher's press conference where he announced his retirement -- that was pretty cool:

I'm pulling for Ken Whisenhunt, personally. They're also interviewing Chan Gailey, which would be another decent choice, I think.

who are you ducking from? I don't think anyone likes that dude..

I was always under the impression that Steeler fans pretty much had a love hate relationship with Cowher with the hate mostly occuring prior to their Super Bowl win.

We're a very fickle bunch. He could run for Pope Of Pittsburgh on weeks when they win, and be condemned to the electric chair by the same people as soon as they lose a game. The same rules have applied to every quarterback in team history.

We always say that the most popular person in Pittsburgh has always been the back-up quarterback.

The Patriots had their run. Heck of a team. All they have left is Brady, he won't do much laying on his back all game.

Well, I have to agree with you all the way until the last game... there is no way that Drew Brees will let the team that booted him beat him in the big game!!

I think the Eagles will pull off the upset over the Saints and the Ravens will do the same to Indy.

I am a huge Bears fan and hope like hell the team that was playing in Sept shows up to play.

		| | Hey. I haven't been following NFL for quite a while now (ever since my American room mate moved out, and I've had no one to wake me up at the ungodly time in the morning that those games are shown at here).
But even then, I had a question to ask: what the heck happened to the 49'ers?

		| | Colts= choke in the playoffs as usual
Why does everybody hate the Pats? Because they are a good team? Because they are consistant? Because they repeatedly beat your favorite team? Out of the last 10 years they have been to the Superbowl 4 times and won it 3 times. Oh I get it. People don't like them because they win too much. Everybody hated Jeff Gordon because he won to much also.

So why is it people hate teams or individuals that win to much?

 My pick is:
 Eagles and Chargers, Eagles win

I think that is what I averaged per win in the DPC fantasy football league. :P Seriously, though I think you got that prediction backwards. :)

		| | I have a feeling this is true....I am a Seahawk fan big time, but I honestly don't think they can beat Chicago. Hawks have been on a wing and a prayer all year basically...but then again, it all depends on what type of game they bring to the Windy City. If they play them like they have played in the past, it will be a really good game, one of those on the edge of your seat types (which I love).
However, we (the Hawks) have relied on Josh Brown to kick those last second field goals way to much, so maybe we can pull another freaking rabbit out of the helmet, who knows (you can tell I don't have a lot of hope right now).

But for all intensive purpose, I do feel, if the Hawks don't make it, New Orleans and the Chargers will be in the Super Bowl. They are the most consistant teams playing in the game right now. If that were to occur, I am a Saints fan true and true. They have more desire I think, and a big time feel to bring New Orleans back together since Katrina made her way through, and finally, even in a simplistic way, bring that wonderful city back together.

Final: New Orleans 35 - San Diego 27
