Just got back from a weeks holiday at the cottage. I had some time to build a couple of Inuksuk (A type of Inuit sculpture). These were constructed at two locations along the Ottawa River near Pembroke Ontario.
I might use these shots as a set of framed prints.
Would appreciate comments

I can't help it I have to say this. Just as an FYI the plural to Inuksuk is Inuksuit. Your title should be My Inuksuit...
Sorry it's a language thing.. had to say it =) |

Are those in Stanley Park? They look similar to a shot that has quickly become one of my recent favs.

They are, indeed. To judge from the positioning of the stones, the shot you link to appears to have been taken at around the same time last year. Wonderful capture, soft fog vs. sharp stone...

I've never heard of these rock sculptures but they are fascinating! I'll have to learn more... Thank you for sharing your shots, Wimbello. I am especially fond of the 2nd one. You should make a print available - bet you'd sell alot.
Zeuszen, is that 'balancing rocks' shot yours?
I had to look at that 'Balancing Rocks' photo again this morning... just beautiful. It was done by a fellow named Siegfried Burgstaller - very talented guy! I was delighted to see that there was a print available of 'Balancing Rocks' until I realized that the print would set me back $500! Damn! Now don't get me wrong - if I had $500 budgeted for art, then I would buy it in a heartbeat. But alas... priorities [like food] must prevail!

No, Ellen, "Balancing Rocks" is by S. Burgstaller. He lives here in Vancouver also, but I'm not him. :-)
I've seen his work hanging on quite a few walls though. We appear to have chosen the same subjects even, sometimes from an identical perspective, yet I cannot drink from his cup. ;-) His post-processing skills (and the eye it takes to apply them effectively) exceeds mine. If I meet him, and I have a feeling I will sooner or later, I intend to wrestle some lilies from his acorns.
