I'm a Hawk fan but not a delusional one, I don't get my hopes high but hey, Hawks will be playing loose and if the fans get into it? Well, anything can happen. The reason other teams don't like this? Nobody wants to play a road playoff game at Qwest Field, losing record or not. If you let the fans get into the game, 3rd down conversions become a nightmare.

Also don't forget that the Saints are 0 and 3 in road playoff games.....and Brees is throwing almost as many picks as Hasselbeck

Long time Hawk fan and I have to say I was rooting against then on Sunday. I'm embarassed and would have rather taken a higher draft pick next year.

But, to your point. Anything can happen at Qwest. It's that much of an advantage. The next week? Fuggedaboudit.

I have heard more than a few say that, not my take though. I think the story is hilarious and great, the farther they go the better the story gets. I have been liking the direction Caroll has been going and I had basically written this year off from the start so any playoff run is just icing on the cake for me

Calling it "Wild Card Weekend" is a disservice to the hawks, who rocked the house and won the division with a 7-9 record. Respect! In all seriousness, it's another division championship flag, which after hanging for a few years it'll just look good and not be a reminder of the rebuilding?/crumbling? phase they're in.

Saints just lost their top back for the season as well and don't have a steady running game. It'll be interesting I think.

They would be wise not to put their record on that banner.

Also this playoff game is huge dollars at the gate. Thats worth more than the couple of extra spots higher in the draft.

records aside, interesting fact from espn.com about the Hawks/Rams game:

The Seahawks' 16-6 victory over the Rams delivered the highest overnight television rating for a Sunday night game since a Jan. 7, 2002 matchup between Minnesota and Baltimore.
