Just wanted to share a photo I took of a supposed haunted house in my neighborhood. The green in the foreground is not tall grass. The purple cluster above the tallest wisp was not a bad paint job, and the larger window on the second floor on the left, if you zoom in on it, has a discernible shadow on the white wood. Enjoy.

DPC does not do hauntings. Ghosts and such cannot exist and therefore don't exist. Nothing to see here...these aren't the droids you're looking for...
Or...that's venus, or a temperature inversion, or swamp gas, or you sneezed as you were taking the image.
I on the other hand love this sort of stuff. Interesting image - did you feel or sense anything when you took the picture? |

Pretty creepy! You should send it in to the tv show Taps, aka: The Atlantic Paranormal Society, and maybe they'll do a show on that house. |

In answer to your question about anybody living in the house, no no one lives there now but the town owns it and opens it on Sundays from May to October. As to my experiences there, I walk the dog all the time so she was familiar with the area, but one time she refused to go into the woods. I felt a chill as she stood and shook, and she was shaking alot. Another time I videotaped the place, and a skull appeared on a rock. I have the video. Another time I was standing on the rock and I put my hand over the edge and felt extreme cold. It looked like a really great place to bury a body. One other time I was walking in the woods and I came to an area where nothing was growing. As I stood there, I felt my entire body go cold. When I took this picture, there wasn't much happening at the time, but I got two other images with streaks flying across them. There have been a lot of strange sensations at this house, including by current members of the Historical Society.

Originally posted by ladymonarda: Okay, I was trying to get the highest amount of views with this image, build up my portfolio views and generate a bunch of comments. None of these occurred. If I can't even get views with this kind of topic, then I know I can't ever take pictures to please anybody. I have concluded I am totally out of my league. I think I need to stop taking pictures totally. I was even going to provide the negative on this one. What do I need to do to get more views from you all? Sorry, I need to rant because I am saddened by the fact that I can't even take a decent aberration photo. The discussion on orbs generated such a flurry of comments, and I thought for sure this would run a close second. Wrong again. |
Eh? Are you frustrated through lack of popularity or am I simply misunderstanding? |

June, looking at your portfolio, you have no problems at all taking images that please;)
If I can put my cynical hat on for a moment? - IF this image also contained a nude woman, or a man bareing his arse with a lump of cheese, then I'm sure you would get hundreds of views and comments.
I love images like these - I love the paranormal and the mysteries of life. Capturing something potentially paranormal is rare and exciting. I would love to see the negative and hear about how you felt at the time or what you sensed around the house...please spill:))
