I've a photo blog elsewhere, and when I first signed up at DPC I linked it to my profile. Around about my second or third challenge someone recognized my entry in a challenge, since I had posted an out-take in my blog. At the time I thought this was a heinous ethics violation on my part, so I un-linked it so as to not feel like I had to keep everything challenge-related out of my photo blog until after a challenge had ended. Any opinions on this? I'd like to have the link there (and in some of the dpc blogroll kind of things I've seen around), but if that would be unethical I'll leave things the way they are.

I link, but I don't post challenge entries (or outtakes) until after the challenge. It's only another week...

Often people will put disclaimers on their blog stating potential DPC entries may be posted on the blog

My PAD link is in my sig, but will not contain DPC entries.

If you check my PAD link below you can see what happened yesterday. The PAD photo is not posted, even though it was shot, because it's now entered in shapes II. I'll update both the original Day 3 post and a new challenge over post when the time comes to release the image.

When all is said and done the PAD is a personal challenge. It's all too easy to cheat should you wish to, and equally you should not feel compelled to "give yourself away" in a PAD just to prove you shot something.

Thanks for your input, everyone. :) I'll mull over what I'll do about it. On the one hand, it IS only a week (and it's even more the case since my blog isn't a PAD concept -- I've thought seriously about doing that but I already have too darn many blogs). On the other hand, sometimes I'm really desperate for something to plug into that dratted 'upload image' window in my pixelpost admin. :)

I've actually changed what I was going to do to this. I will post my 1/4 image that I shot just after midnight today after Shapes finishes.
