I'll be gone for two weeks on a trip to Japan :) You didn't really think that I would be leaving all of you did you? Anyway, I'll be having the dreaded "Update Withdrawals" for sure but I hope to be able to capture beautiful images of Japan while I'm there. I leave on Wednesady morning.

So far, I'm trying to set up a GTG with some folks in Japan. We're thinking of going for a day to Nikko, about 80 km north of Tokyo.

I've entered the upcoming challenge so at least if I can get a hold of a computer at the hotel then at least I can see how my entry is doing.
I'll see you guys in a couple of weeks! So long for now.

You lucky dawg you. I don't envy your flight but it will be well worth it. I've made that flight more times than I care to remember because we lived there 8 years. There is so much there to shoot and looks like you'll be there at New Years. I love the door decorations at New Years.
I can wait to see all your photos but with 2 weeks there it will take you till June to process them all. :)

Have a safe trip Rikki and loads of fun shooting.

I am going there prepared :) This is what I'll be bringing:

- monopod
- mini 27" tripod
- 18-55mm kit lens
- 10-22mm lens
- 75-300mm lens
- 5 gigs of memory

It's going to be fun. I'm more prepared now than when I went there in March this year. Bren is right. I'll be post processing until I'm blue in the face ;)

You better believe it man! I'll take tons of them ;) Although taking photos of snow might be a bit tricky with reflections and all ;)

Hi Heather! I just entered Username and Oops! Can you please send me a request for both images? Thanks.

Thanks for reminding me about this. I doubt my images will be required for validation but then again, you never know ;)

Hi Arjun! We're not going to Kyoto this time. I was there in March and I have to say that Kinkaku-ji temple was just mind blowing. I took tons of photos of the Golden Temple and I have to say, it was very humbling to be at one of the oldest temples in Japan.

Most of our focus this time around will be in Nagoya and Tokyo making side trips to Nikkou (hopefully) and Kamakura in the Kanagawa prefecture.

And yes, Sake will be consumed. Except of course for nat-to.

Ik!
