...and got me a 50/1.8 II and a tripod Velbon Sherpa 750R
Lucky me with the SS (got $120 more these 2 months right on time)
Man, the little 50/1.8 it's a jewelry (for me at least)
Just wanted to share!

...grrr My 50/1.8 has dust inside!!!
Have to send it back to change it. Is this Canon quality?

Normal to have a little bit of dust inside after some use...not on new ones though. Although practically speaking this has NO bearing on the photos...I wouldn't worry about it unless it was literally overflowing with grit and grime.... :D

It's brand new out of the box. Apparently does not affect the photos but it's a large piece of dirt there right in the middle. I'll ask to change it.

I went to my dealer and we blew the lens. The dirt came out (I can't see it) and apparently was some plastic residual thing something. No more dust.
Here are 2 pics I took and some crops 100% straight from the camera.
Settings: AV mode, ISO 400, f 9, 1/320
