Someone (I'm sorry I forget who, and it was a while ago) was talking about carousels and I just happened to go to Fall River, MA. and there was a carousel there. It was closed for a private party though. I do have exterior shots though....
.
.
And this one which I thought was kind of fun....
Edit: Unfortunately the whole thing was hidden underneath a bridge.

| Did you get a chance to go through the ship displays? We were there a few years back to go through the PT Boat museum. That blasted bridge hides a lot! I didn't know it would so difficult to locate a bloomin' battleship, even when you know where to look! We weren't able to get in to the carousel either if it makes you feel any better. As it turns out the old sub was also closed for the filming of a documentary but that didn't upset us too much as my son was in the Navy at the time and we got to go for a ride in a modern one. I can say I even got to drive the boat! |

| I drove a busload of kids to spend the night. They offered to put me up in a hotel or I had the option of sleeping with them on the Battleship. I chose the Battleship. It was kind of fun. Very cold though. It actually snowed while we slept and the kids spent the morning sliding down the front of the ship. |

| That would be cool! We didn't know that you could do that until we got out there and by then it was too late. My first experience ever (I'm from landlocked Iowa) with a "sudden squal." It came up very fast while we were on the deck of the battleship and soaked us to the skin before we could take cover. We didn't know that you could actually go on board the PT Boats too if you made arrangements in advance. We were making a donation of PT Boat artifcats to the museum for my father so they rapidly arranged a tour for us in appreciation of the items. We really enjoyed the place and would like to go back again. We know a few things to do in advance of the trip the next time though. |

| Husband says, "Btw, don't you just hate it when you get snow on your canon?" |

LOL. I'd rather have snow ON my cannon than IN it.
Admittedly I was kind of bored after I'd gone through everything the second time. I was there with 50 high school kids and, nothing against them, but I just didn't want to hang with them the whole time. My wife got stuck working or she would have come with us. Would have been a blast. Except she'd probably have borken her leg or something. She's kind of a clutz. |

| I know what you mean about the kids, spent a summer as residence director for Upward Bound for 56 of them. Big City trip was Omaha, I got them for 3 whole days, rah. This was the year that the jet did a flaming cartwheel into the Sioux City airport. They had finally gotten around to releasing bodies. Our hotel in Omaha was a rather unusual experience. It was full of hearses on their way to who knows where after picking up the bodies in Sioux City. The kids were really freaked out. |

Thanks,
I used to work at an outdoor education camp for 6th graders. I used to love working with them. High schoolers are a different breed of kid though. Now I spend most of my time driving kids around (k-12). Because of this I've already seen Chronicles of Narnia TWICE!!! Both times for free. |

| I have a bunch of shots from Tilden, on a backup drive. What sort of shots were you looking for Chris? I could dust them off and see if anything was usefull if you need. |

| Existing carousel installations, both year round indoor as well as indoor/outdoor and all outdoor/seasonal. Also the carousels themselves. I will know more hopefully Jan. 9th - the next board meeting. I am working on some proposals now (hopefully I am not the only one on the board doing so). When I know the details of what we will be looking for I will post. |
