Hi
i am based in India. In India we have 15 years education intead of 16 years. i.e 12 years of schooling and 3 years of college.

For MBA in Canada one needs to have minimum 16 years education.

Any one knows how can over come thi issue

As far as I know you will still be required to take some college courses here to make your MBA fit into this society. At least they "used" to with phd's etc.

Stay there. Its warmer and you don't get snow.

Actually, it depends.

In Ontario, they are currently phasing out, if it hasn't already happened, grade 13. Also, there are two different degree programs in Ontario from which I think you can get into an MBA program from. One is 3 years and one is 4. So after the phase out of grade 13 you could get into an MBA program after 15 years of school.

I'm picking on Ontario since they are the only one's left with grade 13 and I think the only ones with a 3 year degree program.

For the most part it would be 16 years of school to get into an MBA program. The other route is to have enough business experience to compensate the lesser amount of schooling.

One of the most well known MBA programs in Canada is at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. You could look up the requirements on their website.

Do you have a school you are interested in? Each province in Canada probably has some way to overcome your problem.

In Quebec, there is a CEGEP program which is a sort of pre university level school that you may be able to fulfill your requirements at.

Contact the school you are interested in. Every MBA program in Canada (I think) take in foreign students, and will thus be able to tell you how to fulfill the requirements you need.

Also, some universities may accept you as an undergraduate, have you complete a semester or two of 'core' curriculum stuff and then you can start the program you want to be in.

Also, that's a very genereal statement you're making. Again, each individual province and school has their own requirements for admission and ways to meet these admissions. I would contact the school you are interested in, and then the provincial governemnt and federal governemnt about information for foreign students.

Good luck

General, everyone here has given you a lot of good advice.

There are around 30 full-time MBA programs available in Canada, and they have very different requirements. While it is true that most schools have generally significant educational requirements, others do not: some don't even require an undergraduate degree.

Remember, the value proposition of these schools is quite different: domestic tuitions range from less than $4,000 (for Quebec-residents at McGill) to over $50,000, and foreign students pay significantly more ($77,000 at Rotman). One could argue that not all MBAs are created equally.

You need to decide on your budget as part of this process, and then look at your options. Best of luck to you.

Hi General,

There are many different sources for info about business schools in Canada; rankings and related info have appeared in Canadian Business magazine, the National Post newspaper and many others. You should be able to google the names of the schools and go to the homepages of many. Admissions criteria are usually very clear.

Some info:

//www.rotman.utoronto.ca/
//www.ivey.uwo.ca/
//www.business.queensu.ca/
//www.schulich.yorku.ca/

PM me for more info if you want; I just finished my MBA at Rotman...
