Well, I have been cooped up over the last winter and involved with college. I haven't had the chance to get out to do some real shooting. However, for the last few weeks I have been running rampage around my state looking for old abandoned homes/buildings. My main focus was to find and old plantation home, which I did, with many great photos in return. One was the "The Closet"....However, I feel better with the second shot after this that challenge in "Lighting." I was aspired by a couple of American History classes I took last year and wanted to capture old America before it vanishes. I had found out that it's hard to find old homes from the 1800's....there seems to be a Wal-Mart in it's place. :) If you like old abandon places feel free to view my portfolio. Higher res. images on my website. Also, theyâre a few new images as well of my visits with the MO River with my dog. Enjoy

Lovely, lovely images with rich textures and excellent light. I've already found a few favorites among them. :-) You definetly did justice to your subjects.

Yeah, thank you for your comments...Wierd, the two you picked as favs. I so happened to pick those two for a major photography show/contest locally, a day or two ago. Hmmm.... |

You ought to be working with a view camera, Dustin, and Zone System. Your work is classic for that. Very impressive.

I really like your style and subject choices. You have some absolutely fantastic images that I'm so envious of (wish I'd taken them).
I hope you won't be offended by my comment that your choice of border treatment is possibly one of the least complimentary (given the incredible quality of images) that I've seen for some time. To the point that, even for images that WOW me, I'd be put off buying a print because of it. That said, as with all things artistic, it's wholly subjective so... please let me stress that this is just my opinion (and I'm aware some people feel the same about my own print border treatments).

Really great work, I like all of them. The color ones would also look good in B&W.

Your opinions are justified...no offence taken. Very helpful insight. However, If I were to sell a print. I would deliver without added frames or matts, unless requested. Buyer always get what they want and needs meet accordingly. Come to think about it, frames sometime do become a hinder....on webpages that is...I view my frames as if I was to go to print with the photo. It kinda gives me overview...However, the black and white frameing on one or two photos I can live with out, agree....Although, I enjoy the white frames much better and molds the image from being flat on a page...pet peave of mine, floating flat photos...I guess a photo should be framed somehow....:)
Thank you for your comments, and again I do hope you enjoy my photos. (not the borders) :)
