Hi everyone, I just received this Fujifinepix A340 a couple of days ago..got it in an ebay auction for $140. Felt it would be fun to have a camera small enough to carry around in case something interesting turned up to photograph; it's hard to carry around a larger camera with me in the car, this seemed like a good idea..I'm pleased with the quality of the picture; let me know what you think..thanks[img]//images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/32754/thumb/166453.jpg
[/img]. This is right out of camera, no sharpening or ps.

Looks good. The quality is great for straight out of the camera. It should be a handy little camera for you. |

It's really hard to tell at that size...also, the highlights are blown which means you've lost some detail there.
It looks like the camera has pretty good quality, but it would be hard to know for sure judging from that photo alone...
Enjoy the new toy!

is there manuel control? if so I would play with it. the waterfall is nice, but if you can get a faster shutter speed the water will be less foamy looking.
i too have a point an shoot for the same reasons. sometimes its not practicle to have my slr hanging around.

There arent any manual feature on that camera at least to control the shutter speed instead while in photography mode, press the menu/ok button and go to the right to shooting mode and select sport mode in sport mode you dont have to press the shutter button down half way jus mash it straght down and that will force the camera to increase shutter speed.

This crop & edit is by far better than the first one Marion.
And btw, thanks for the nice compliment/comment on my Abandoned Bldg shot! |

I would actually crop it even tighter from the bottom, to get rid of the distracting grass patch altogether.
Something like this:
Also it makes the composition more symmetric (a matter of taste I guess)

I think the last crop by Itsimring is good; it does look symmetrical..I like it the best..glad I made a good comment, Brad! Thanks for your help everyone..it's not easy being a novice at this; it's very challenging to come up with a good composition.
