Working on just a small jpeg rather than the source RAW limits what I can do with my novice skills, but here you go:



I think it brings out some latent potential in the image, but that final analysis is of course yours.

I'm not sure this works - without the colour it feels like I am looking at this flower through a military image intensifier. It is good to experiment though.

Overall I like the colour image better, without colour, it's like it's missing something (IMO), especially now that I know what a beautiful pink this flower is in real life. Roses are wonderful subjects!
