You must be so lucky to walk by beautiful pink roses on your way to do laundry! I like how real this image feels. Very nice.

Paul - Again, thank you for the critique. All three of my posts were done at the cemetery. DOF is defenetly one of my downfalls - need to learn more.

I'm learning... whoo hoo!
I am thankful to everyone's comments. I need to get some good editing software, and work on my DOF.

Thank you very much for all the comments. Yes, that is a gravestone. It seems that a lot of viewers think I placed the flower there myself, but I didn't, it was there when I arrived.
This was my very first "intentional" shoot, at one of our cemeteries. I chose to respect what was there and not add or move things.

Comment by Paul:
Again, really nice flowers and the lighting is much better. The DOF is a bit too large to truly isolate your subject from the background and a wider aperture would have helped- I see you sot this at f/13; something like f/5.6 would have given you a better result.

Compositionally, I not sure you've cropped it in the right places, clipping the edges of the petals that way but I think your approach to framing the image this way with an extreme portrait crop is definitely the way to go.

Once again your excellent eye has found a really good picture and five more minutes of editing would bring your original alive.

Comment by Paul:
This is a really nice flower but the image is way too flat. I just had a go at messing with it a little and it really rewards a bit of aggressive editing. I'd also clone out the white area top left.

Because of your good eye for a picture, there is bags of potential in this image but at the moment it goes untapped.

This is a very pretty flower but it seems a bit dark. Perhaps a little curves to bring up the whites and darken down the bg would make it pop even more. Your focus and framing are great though.
