Small Town Maize Dryerby SimplicityComment by Imagineer: Interesting subject. It's a good choice if you have no city or typical urban stuff to shoot. The tone is a bit overpowering and it could do with a touch more contrast as the sepia has filled in much of the 'white' areas. |

Time Travel...Dream or Reality?by SimplicityComment by timmi: This is very unique shot. I bet in it's original state it wouldn't be as dramatic as it is in inverted format. It almost looks like an x-ray of a train. The colours are great - subtle browns and oranges with hint of blue oposite colour. The detail is also amazing, considering this is a negative. Good diagonal composition. |

Depending on your town, this could be right in the center of it -- it was in my hometown. Sepia does nothing for this photo -- I would have loved to see it with the blue sky and wispy clouds. It could use a perspective adjustment too. (Is that legal in DPC?) |

Small Town Maize Dryerby SimplicityComment by Neuferland: Not sure what the original colors were on this one and that might be why you changed to sepia but in sepia they almost blend in together and you lose the overall effect of the buildings themselves. The tall silo in the center does stand out but not a lot, more contrast would have gotten a much higher score for overall quality on this shot. |
