Cool Vegas morningby khanhxComment: A nice image. Though a little washed out - a little hazy that day it seems. Maybe playing with the Levels in PS might have helped pop the colors a bit. The focus also seems a bit soft. Good job. 8 md |

Reflections Under Iceby gminishComment: A beautiful photo. Very crisp, beautiful colors, good composition. Though I think I might have moved the horizon line down a bit to the 1/3 height level. A little less of the water. Congrats on a very nice image. 8 md |

Olympic Peninsulaby jimmythefishComment: A very striking photo. The composition on this is pretty good, though a little less sky might have benefitted the image. Adjusting the levels might have brought out some of the colors a little more as well. but all in all a great photo. 8 md |

Silhouette at sunrise.by MarklaneComment: A very nicely composed photo. Great clarity on the branches. Nice background and sunset too. I cant offer any suggestions for improvement, but at the same time this doesn't really jump out at me either. All in all though a very good photo. 8 md |

san jacintoby moondoggieComment: Thanks for the review Andrew. Glad you liked the photo.
Most people are not familiar with this song from Peter Gabriel (it's off of his "Security" album, btw). It's a very powerful, primal almost spiritual song. When I took the photo I hadn't even seen the new DPC contest for that week yet, but when I read about it I instantly thought of this picture. It really had something about it that I liked - mostly just the simplicity of the lines and dark rich colors. I was concerned that it might be too dark, but on my home monitor where I prepped it, I must say it looked a little lighter than it does on some monitors here at my work, and probably lighter than what most people saw. Still, I knew it was on the dark side, and I knew the song was not well recognized, so I figured there was a good chance that many people would not "get it." But hey, I liked it, so what the hell. |

Zenithby KarenBComment: Great colors. I'm a sucker for earth, snow and blue sky in a photo. Too bad the moon was not a bit lower - it kind of throws off the balance of the photo. Still, a very nice shot. 8 md |

Newhall Parkby cvhs99Comment: The house behind the trees is too distracting. And the cat is also a distraction, as it is too small to really be a focal point. better luck next challenge. md |
