This is a tough shot to comment on
I need context
A good abstract if that is what you were going for

Great shot! I really thought this would score higher. If her face was fully in focus it would have for sure, seems a tad oof.

I would never of known what it was unless I saw the title. So out of focus and lacking detail. Why this style?

So cute. She looks quite proud of her drawing. Is that a bird in green then?

Comment by HarveyG:
A happy and fun image. Good exposure. Decent focus on her eyes and a good catchlight at Ten O'clock. The shadows on her face from the ambient light are not harsh and dark. Also well done for being at her level or POV.

However your BG (background) is very distracting. The flat screen LCD white blob and the bright sun on the curtain directly behind her head, the ribbed heater all constantly distract my eye from your subject. Can you move yourself around to get a less distracting even BG? Also the image appears rotated CW (Clockwise) by at least 1° or possibly 2°s. The floor does not look level; a marble would roll down to the right. Whilst she has an adorable smile, it appears hammed or choreographed and not totally natural to ME; try catch her unsuspecting or doing her artwork and oblivious to the camera (candid). The dull brown frame is not complimentary to that of her vibrant colourful top. Either don't use one at all or make the frame thin so it is not competing with your picture.

This would score better in a "children themed" challenge (6 or 7) than it will in a FS (5 or 6) where technical ability, rules, wow factor, uniqueness and photographic skill are critical to achieve a 6 or 7+

I hope this helps you photographically put your image into perspective for the challenge it's been entered into.

Regards, Harvey. [Comment disclaimer here :) ]

I love her expression. She is very happy with her creation, and very happy that you are photographing her with her masterpiece.

Thanks Sophia. I didn't notice the spot, but now that's ALL I see! I'll have to watch out for that.

And yes, bjoern, these boys always have to have the latest and greatest with their bows.
