Great model photography. I can't even begin to come close to this. My only minor nitpick is the pose. Even for an intentionally posed model shot it looks awkward and contrived to me.

Wowsa. What a beauty. Her eyes are nearly completely obstructed by her hair and her stare is still piercing. If her hair was out of her eyes I bet this would be Spectacular. The placing of her hand of her tattooed arm is a bit weird. I think one finger is down in the dirt or something because she almost appears to be missing half of a finger. Overall very cool shot though. Beautiful lighting and exposure and Black and white works wonderfully too.

Hi Robin :)

First impressions
A dynamic, colourful image.

After some time with the image
You've created an image full of magic that fits in well with the theme, the set up and composition are good. Whilst the lights do add a great deal to the image I can see that all those circles within the confines of a square challenge could have lost you a few points. You mention focus, specifically the cube, it's difficult to tell but with the image at this size the focus seems fine and any drop off in sharpness is probably due to the small depth of field that you would have got with an aperture of f1.8.
A commenter mentioned the blurry hand and that is probably more of an issue, motion blur would have been fine but this looks like movement blur of a hungry husband expected to keep still for 1/50sec ;)

Overall
A creative image that has worked well, you were constrained by time and the prospect of basic editing, so you can only improve on this already good image.
:)

The rubics cube show the challenge but the circles of light in the back take away from it.

Great idea. It's a shame the lower hand is a bit blurry.

Greetings from Andi via the Critique Club. Congratulations on a new PB Robin!

First Impression: A nice, soft and vibrant image image, sharp enough where it should be and an above average flower reflection.

Composition: For me the composition is just right.

Tecnical: At first glance the blown out petal was a little annoying but on reflection I think it actually helps the image. The green foliage is a little distracting and it might improve the image if it was in better focus.

Artistic: Yes, its certainly artistic and the colours go really well together. The way the petals merge into that silky soft backround shows a good vision.

Overall thoughts: Even though similar has been done 100's of times at dpc it was submitted to a flower challenge and this is a good example. Well done and all the best for future challenges.

I LOVE this! I'm so surprised not to see this one way way up there. Its the kind of photo I would have put in the top very few -- and one that really appeals to my style. Awesome job!

I'm not generally a fan of the water drop shots (been done to death... so cliche) but you've executed it so perfectly that I had to rate this up there with my favourites in this challenge. Composition is different enough to carry the water drop cliche... which is an outstanding effort. Well done.
