Centre-ville de Montréal by VitaminBComment: My main criticism is that there isn't enough black density in this image. The tones on the buildings don't strongly contrast with eachother, or with the sky, which results in them looking a little out of focus. |

Downstreamby jdannelsComment: Very effective use of a softer focus. This is very well composed and there's alot of eyecandy, which I like. Well done! |

Storm Clouds as Low Tideby kevip6Comment: This is a very pertty HDR, but I end up wanting more from this scene. With a strong horizontal component in your composition (the horizon), you do yourself a disservice with a vertical crop. I don't get a sense of the foreboding infinite that I ought to feel when I look at a storm moving in over the ocean. |

Sightingby spencerwoodComment: I like the composition with the woman and the man in the foreground, but I'm not sure what the 'sighting' is. I don't see anything in the clouds! |

passing slower runners 76 Kristen Wozny by whiterookComment: No one seems to be in focus. Did you take this while running? If so, be sure to use shutter priority on your camera--that way, the image will come out clear (set it at something around 1/400). Also, the colors look a little washed out, which is indicitive of an overexposure. As a general rule, on a bright sunny day, the proper exposure is the inverse of your ISO speed (so if you shoot at ISO 400, the shutter speed is 1/400) and a focal length of f16. Not only do you get nice, crisp images, but you also get a good tonal saturation and full range of contrast. |

Gregs Canyonby strikealiteComment: Very pretty, but it looks a little too sharp--if you do too much with a sharpen mask, you end up with alot of artifacting along the edges of your subject. Next time, run this puppy through neatimage, and you'll be good to go! |
