Great idea with the use of your car, I like the little speckles (water droplets? dust? dirt?) it works nice, specially the out of focus ones in the front. As mentioned by others, the extra reflections are distracting and the light seems a little bit too harsh. To soften the light you could hold a piece of white paper between the sun and the flower, assuming there's no wind, you should be able to use long shutter speeds to compensate for the loss of light. I think the paper would help soften the shadow. Something i'm not particularly liking is the stem, those red, green and brown tones seem very aggressive, contrasting with the peaceful look of the flower. Since you have control over everything, why not cut the stem off? or hide the stem behind the flower. Hope this helps

Bee shots are hard, since they tend to go to flowers which happen to be connected to the rest of the plant. I think your background is a little busy and it takes a second to find the bee. Maybe next time you can try a different point of view, it seems that in this case, assuming the bee doesn't move, you could have moved to the right and a little bit lower and the bee would have been against the blurred background instead of against a stem. Also, getting lower might have given you some foreground bokeh (maybe?? just a thought). As it stands now, the bee does not pop out too much, so maybe you could try saturating the yellows a little (very little) more and desaturating other colors (very little also). Since there are yellow stems on the flowers, you could probably mask those out. Hope this helped

I like the subject, it conveys emotions just sitting there with flat tires and a rusty body. I'm definitely liking the cool background with the warmer tones in the front. As mentioned before, it is a bit dark for my taste, so flash or even better flashlight (great idea Deb) would have helped. As it stands now, the image seems very flat, with a flat side of the car facing us and then the background, there is almost no sense of depth in the picture. Maybe shooting the truck a little bit more diagonally (instead of so sideways) could have helped. Also, I see you shot this with your 28-300, maybe the 18-70 at 18mm would have help get a more dynamic angle. Hope this helps

The lighting and colors in the image are good, but as mentioned before, it is overall a bit too soft. Using USM or a high pass sharpening would have helped. A slightly closer crop might help too, maybe try to put the bee somewhere following the rule of thirds (at least approximately). The last thing I think could have improved this shot is that if you draw a line following the bee's flying path (so to the right and a little bit up) you hit a blurry flower. The sharp flower is all the way at the bottom right of the frame, so it makes it look like the bee is just flying around and not towards a flower. I know it's not easy, but getting the "flight destination" in focus would have also helped.

not a fan of the selective desat, sorry. The colored flower seems to be the subject, not the ear
