Kudos for trying something different, we should all do that more often. As far as the image goes, i like the texture on the building and the glow of the dome thingy. I like how your model seems to come out of the darkness and how his head is almost vertical with the tilted background. The main thing i dont like is the harsh lighting which is causing a couple of blown out regions (top left of frame and left side of subjects face). I guess there's not a whole lot you can do about those except for shooting at a different time of day, so yeah, with the option you had available,, good job. Hope this helps

I like the light, textures and patterns in this shot. As mentioned by surfdabbler maybe a person at the end of the bridge could have helped, although people in HDR look weird, so maybe not. You'd have to test that. I like the HDR conversion, it has that HDR look but not overdone. My only comment would be that you could have stood like one step to the left to be in the dead center of the bridge, that way you'd get perfect symmetry on both sides. Hope this helped

Besides what has been said before of softness and lack of subject I think what this picture lacks is some sort of dynamism. As the viewer, I see it and I'm like "ok that's a pretty view" but I take the whole frame at once, there is not aspect of it that stands out and there are no lines leading me into the frame to make me feel the depth of the scenery. There are a bunch of horizontal (or almost horizontal) lines in the frame (the darkest clouds, the trees in the foreground, the horizon, the mountain tops, the second set of trees, the brown in the rolling hills). All these lines are isolated from each other, none of them seems to lead you into the next one.
the image by tmorningglory96 is different to yours in the fact that the first thing you see is the trees to the left, the the trees to the right (which are a little bit deeper into the frame) and lastly the trees in the background. So your eyes just went from left to right to center of the frame, your eyes were just guided through the frame and toured around the scene. In your image, the whole thing hits you at once and you don't know what too look at. Even though tmorningglory96's image does not have a subject there are things in it that grab your attention.
the image by io does have a subject (or at least to me it does). It is the tree almost in the middle, which also happens to be lighter than the others attracting your eye to them. This image also has stronger lines like the circular edge of the pond, the diagonal ground to the right, the diagonal of the top of the trees to the left, another diagonal of the top of trees to the right. All of those diagonals converge close to the central tree, again bringing your attention to it. The main thing that distinguishes this image from yours is the diagonal lines and their interaction.
Hope this helped, let me know if you have any questions

Great idea with the use of your car, I like the little speckles (water droplets? dust? dirt?) it works nice, specially the out of focus ones in the front. As mentioned by others, the extra reflections are distracting and the light seems a little bit too harsh. To soften the light you could hold a piece of white paper between the sun and the flower, assuming there's no wind, you should be able to use long shutter speeds to compensate for the loss of light. I think the paper would help soften the shadow. Something i'm not particularly liking is the stem, those red, green and brown tones seem very aggressive, contrasting with the peaceful look of the flower. Since you have control over everything, why not cut the stem off? or hide the stem behind the flower. Hope this helps

Bee shots are hard, since they tend to go to flowers which happen to be connected to the rest of the plant. I think your background is a little busy and it takes a second to find the bee. Maybe next time you can try a different point of view, it seems that in this case, assuming the bee doesn't move, you could have moved to the right and a little bit lower and the bee would have been against the blurred background instead of against a stem. Also, getting lower might have given you some foreground bokeh (maybe?? just a thought). As it stands now, the bee does not pop out too much, so maybe you could try saturating the yellows a little (very little) more and desaturating other colors (very little also). Since there are yellow stems on the flowers, you could probably mask those out. Hope this helped

I like the subject, it conveys emotions just sitting there with flat tires and a rusty body. I'm definitely liking the cool background with the warmer tones in the front. As mentioned before, it is a bit dark for my taste, so flash or even better flashlight (great idea Deb) would have helped. As it stands now, the image seems very flat, with a flat side of the car facing us and then the background, there is almost no sense of depth in the picture. Maybe shooting the truck a little bit more diagonally (instead of so sideways) could have helped. Also, I see you shot this with your 28-300, maybe the 18-70 at 18mm would have help get a more dynamic angle. Hope this helps

The lighting and colors in the image are good, but as mentioned before, it is overall a bit too soft. Using USM or a high pass sharpening would have helped. A slightly closer crop might help too, maybe try to put the bee somewhere following the rule of thirds (at least approximately). The last thing I think could have improved this shot is that if you draw a line following the bee's flying path (so to the right and a little bit up) you hit a blurry flower. The sharp flower is all the way at the bottom right of the frame, so it makes it look like the bee is just flying around and not towards a flower. I know it's not easy, but getting the "flight destination" in focus would have also helped.

not a fan of the selective desat, sorry. The colored flower seems to be the subject, not the ear
