Day 6 - Splash!!!

Comment:
If you use a high shutter speed the rocks will be in nice focus but you may only get part of the splash.

If you use a tripod and low shutter speed (and instruct your grandson where to throw the rocks), then you would get a nice combination of sharp rocks and a full fuzzy splash

The tail is great. Closer cropping (perhaps even so severe as right below the jaw) would emphasize it even more.

I like the perspective from the ground up. Wonder if positioning him a litte further to right might be better (but perhaps I am too much of a slave to the rule of thirds).

ROFLMAO .... actually that's her "Dad, why are you taking a picture of me again?" look.

I think daughters are genetically programmed to give that type of look to their fathers (albeit with some subtle variations)! Captured very nicely here.

I actually miss those Dutch cows -- they were very scenic in the countryside when I was looking out of train windows back in my youth. Now I am stuck with American cows, which just aren't the same. Plus almost no one rides trains here as they generally only go between huge cities.

Regarding the photo, the focus on the entire relatively flat front part of the nose is great -- the ridge at the top gets emphasized nicely with the rest of the head being out of focus.

I actually like the tight (albeit somewhat untraditional) cropping -- makes me feel I am right there.

Nicely focused.

Exercise is good -- we all need more! So don't lament being exhausted at the end, it will keep you living and taking photos for a much longer time.
