This image would have been a lot more powerful to me if you had done a couple things. Bump the contrast, get that truck out of the frame(thats where the road leads the eye and its a dissapointing destination) and maybe clone out a couple of those road markers on the left. Excellent idea and one that all of us can relate to.

Some lighting on the inside of the building would have helped bring out the main part of the photo and also allowed you to drop the blown out window a enough to keep it from doing so.
