Mr and Mrs Rupertssonby IncarlightComment by Incarlight: Thank you all for your comments and suggestions :-)
I'm going to try some (hopefully) subtle tweaks to make her look more conscious. I have a few closer photos where she delivered a big smile. There's also one photo similar to this one, but where she has her head tilted a bit towards the groom. But once again I managed to capture a strange look. In that photo she seems to be thinking "I married this doofus, and all I got was this wedding dress" :-)

Mr and Mrs Rupertssonby IncarlightComment by Art Roflmao: "Make" her smile. I don't think she would mind.
Otherwise, all your edits are great, but if I was the groom, I wouldn't want that pic in the album or on the mantle.
my 2 cents anyway. Good luck. |

Mr and Mrs Rupertssonby IncarlightComment by BlackDot: Unless, of course, that IS her happy face. In that case it would be better to include the bottom left of her dress, if it's there. Otherwise it looks good.
A few other hints: It is not only her smile that makes her look uncomfortable. Watch your backgrounds. She is dark brown bark, he is light green. This seperates them. Pose, he is looking straight at you, hands in the crotch. This isolates him, and she is just "with" him. Her head is tilted towards the outside of the frame, not towards him, and she is looking "out" of the frame.
It also feels as if your vantage point is slightly higher than them?
Nice light and processing, and that is one beautifull boquet(sp)! |

Mr and Mrs Rupertssonby IncarlightComment by taterbug: I think your edit looks pretty good so far. One suggestion for something to try maybe, is a little tighter crop. Her dress is already cut off at the left, and I don't think the background has any thing significant that you would lose. If you were to crop off some of the left edge, and could even afford to lose a little off the top and bottom, it might add a little bit of symmetry, more of a centered composition and emphasize the couple more. |
