Houseboat reflectedby gminkComment: You might get lower scores due to people questioning whether this is architecture, but I'll go along with it. I like the ripple effect. The white line through the brown on top bothers me a bit and maybe should have been cloned out. |

Siloby kingdesmondComment: I'd say this meets the challenge well. It's an interesting shot and this is non-typical architecture. It looked a bit tilted even in the thumbnail. Even though you used your 50mm lens there is some vertical distortion because of the angle of the shot, and it looks like it was straightened based on the left side of the silo. Straightening based on the center bar may have balanced it more. |

Support Your Local Zoo!by IWhisperedComment: Nice shot of the otter, beaver or whatever it is. Waiting until you caught it looking at you may have been better. The background looks pretty noisy. If I read your EXIF right it's because you are shooting at ISO 3200. I would recommend bumping that WAY down and dropping from 1/800 shutter speed to compensate. |

kingby shoggyComment: Hi shoggy. You might want to take some information off your EXIF data. Nice close-up and getting the catch lights. The background looks a bit noisy. |

We're having a party!by KelliComment: This looks way over-sharpened, but as wrinkled as elephants get maybe it is fairly realistic since I don't see the sharpening halos. It's nicely composed and edited. |

Elephant Odysseyby JeffryZComment: Lots of San Diego Zoo entries, but it is about the best zoo there is. I'm going to have to see the new exhibit. Nice capture of the elephant in action surrounded by dust. |

The Hummingbird Exhibitby Carlo21Comment: Humming bird. San Diego. I'm guessing Ann? Good capture. I've never seen a humming bird feeding its young. Good sharp focus and BG bokeh. The colors look more pastel than I would expect. |

Come to The Zooby NobodyComment: Nice sharp focus on the lion and bokeh in the background almost making the fence disappear. I'm wondering if blurring the remaining crosshatch would be better. Good composition allows for excellent placement of the text. |
