Great perspective, wonderful toning, the streetlight breaks up the pattern and adds interest. Nicely shot.

IMHO this shot is a little confusing to me at first viewing. First thing I thought was why isn't the buliding coming up from the bottom of the frame. Second thought was what am I supposed to be looking at. The lines of the building lead my eye through the shot into the sky, but there is a light right in the middle of the shot that interupts the flow...

Hello!!!

You might remember me screaming about the birds but I remember you peering up at the lamp posts!
I dolike this, I like that you've turned it on it's side and I like the composition. Black and white works well to emphasise the geometric shapes.
I like the round reflections or lights or whatever they are we can see in the windows - I never noticed those on the day.
And I do like the fact that the sky has that cloud texture in it. Adds interest.
Makes me feel cold just looking at it but only because I remember how bleeding windy it was!
Good luck!
Now give me a comment please!

You had to really be looking for this guy. The only thing that couldv'e made it better is had you been able to pull down that leaf in the lower left corner. My attention is drawn to that... otherwise, clearly focused on the snail. Nice work.

Comment by kiwiness:
The grass at the front is kind of distracting and your snail is partly hidden. A different shooting position might have worked better, or at least removing the distracting grass. I don't think the snail would have run away that fast :-) Good usage of rule of thirds and your main subject is in focus.

Nice find! They are hard to find, I know, when I did a project for the Pre-School hour I had to go to a fish store, couldn't find them in my garden! At first the grass in the front is a bit distracting but upon looking more it does add to the shot giving the sense of hiding to start with. I'm giving you a 7 to start but it may go up as I come back again.
