I know it is tough to take bird shots against a bright sky. Too bad the bird colors and textures don't show show up better. These are great birds! Not sure what the answer is, maybe work more with the sun at your back?

Come Visit South Haven

Thank you for your comments. I know it is difficult to tell from the shot, but the "bridge structure" is actually a walwkay on the south breakwater of the harbor entrance at South Haven. The walkway used to be the path for the lighthouse keepers to service the light in the lighthouse. I was actually standing on the north breakwater when I took the pic. I agree, and also wish I would have been closer to the kites.. they were the large parachute style kites that actually "dragged" the kite handlers across the beach... quite a site! It would have been better if I could have captured the lighthouse (the same one that is in my gallery), the kites and the church on the hill... Maybe next time.
