Simplified Selfby Eagle40Fox2Comment: This is a great portrait, great lighting.. unfortunately the filter effect applied takes away from it IMO. |

rolling in the deepby vikasComment: as far as pure portraiture goes, this one is the best submission in this challenge IMO. Some of the more creative photoshop edits might win though. |

Our planet really isn't aloneby JudiComment: @littlemav:
Yes, the stars ARE different colors. Color relates to size, surface temperature and the age of a star. In the brightest of stars, you can see with your eyes they are different colors. In the winter (northern hemisphere), Betelgeuse in Orion is red. Sirius, next to Orion is blue (for example). In the summer, there is Arcturus (red) and Vega (blue). You can see Arcturus as the brightest star just past overhead at sunset this month (In US / Europe / Japan). |

Tube Dudeby JulietNNComment: To crop a perfect square in Photoshop, press c for the crop tool, click anywhere and drag.. then hold the shift key ===> Square crop. You can also use the marquee selection tool (m) and click-drag-hold shift to get a square selection, which you can then (assuming around Photoshop CS2 or newer) move around before choosing Image->Crop.
Great image BTW, sorry you took it on the wrong day. |

"It isn't very pretty..."by PennyStreetComment: I remember this part of AZ well. The butte on the far left is quite familiar to me. "Los Gigantes Buttes" Well composed shot, good colors. |

Amorby jbrobesonComment: a nice silhouette idea, but not a fan of the busy background or pole running through them. I'm sure others will knock you for the couple being OOF even though "love" is in focus |
