Heavy and in a Hurryby 99PercentComment by Arcanist: Tough angle for motion panning/tracking subject. While some stop motion was achieved, the subject still appears too blurred and the result is an image that looks more like it suffers from camera shake combined with slow shutter, instead of an intended effect. |

Heavy and in a Hurryby 99PercentComment by Nald: IMO this isn't motion panning, it's just a blurry photo. A good motion panning shot will have the subject in focus and the background blurred to enhance the subject. Good effort however. 5 |

Dirty Little Secretby 99PercentComment by Ann: Excellent attempt for a first challenge. Very artful and well thought out. I think you're right, the person and bright spot on the right side needs to be dropped out. If I were taking the same subject, I would actually have gone the opposite direction, dropped the ISO as low as it would go, closed down the aperture, and gone for an even longer exposure (on a tripod, of course). This is assuming that you are have a model that you can get to stand in the corner and stay still for the full length of the exposure. |

Heavy and in a Hurryby 99PercentComment by orgelbright: Intresting twist to capture motion of a heavy object coming towards you. The bus behind the truck lends it extra weight, and the focus on the right headlight gives the impression of it looking right at you. I like the tones just dark enough to make the yellow toplights pop, and the play of colors from green, blue red and purple. Texture also comes across as a play of fuzzy concrete and shiny metal. The zooming background has dynamism with the curving siderails. Great pic! |
