Sharonby langdonComment: Lovely portrait and the lighting is nice on her face. I might have done some slight PP on the hands (although not as much as the face) to warm the colours up a touch whilst not detracting from the main area around the face. |

MY DOMAINby Gordon_1Comment: Great pose, but I'm not sure the PP has added to the shot? I think the shot would stand on its own without it. |

My new buddyby MadukesComment: Nice pet portrait, I like the way the light neck hair forms a soft background to the face. |

Old Schoolby scruffComment: Interesting old building and nice ground colours, it's a pity the sky was so grey. Maybe dropping the viewpoint down a bit and moving in closer would have given more of the building and foreground whilst reducing the amount of sky in shot? |

Baby in Bucketby avermaaComment: Cute baby - I might have cropped in a bit tighter on both sides and not have gone for the blur effect - I think the baby and the bucket would make the shot without it. |

Stareby shankswareComment: Beautiful model and great matching of the eyes to the background. If the eye colour is unenhanced then they are incredibly striking - if they have had a vibrance boost I might have just backed it off slightly. |

I've seen ashes shine like chromeby JdroullardComment: Great old truck and the grasses growing up around it add character. The current crop doesn't show anything in middle distance - I'm intrigued to know if there was endless rolling country that might have added to the sense of abandonment - or maybe there was something there restricting the possible angles of shot. |

Look to the futureby snafflesComment: Simple shot, nicely lit and good expression on the model. I might have cropped a little less on the bottom if possible - the chin seems to hit the bottom of the frame. If the neck was in shadow a little less crop might have enhanced the "isolated face" look that is otherwise well done. |

birdby HeidieComment: Nice and sharp from beak to eyes and great stare into the camera - it just needs a little light on the right hand side so that we can see the detail in the left eye. Difficult to achieve given the strong natural lighting but maybe a little dab of flash would have been worth a try. |

Manhattan Lightsby NeilComment: Dramatic sky and a nice pattern of city lights with the river in the background catching the red and adding interest. The tone mapping/topaz (?) post-processing gives the image an almost graphic novel feel - I can see this as the cover pages with a superhero in the foreground looking out over the scene :-) |
