Happy Trailsby HipychikComment: This shot demonstrates how a small element can completely alter the story you get from a shot. All the impact is from having the single truck correctly placed on the span and says to me "been a long journey, still some way to go but the end is in sight". Great capture. |

Sentinalby rooumComment: I really like the odd perspective of this shot - it took me a while to work out what I was looking at. Plus marks for creativity in spotting this view and turning it into a minimalist shot with strong lines and central subject. (8) |

Louvre Pyramidby AllenPComment: Lovely techincals with a tightly controlled exposure. A classic view taken at just the right time with the foreground and sky nicely neutral allowing maximum impact from the pyramid and surrounding galleries. Top job (9) and strong ribbon candidate. |

Overleap: To leap over, to jump over, to cross by jumpingby hahn23Comment: This is a great action shot and one of my top picks. I've taken photos at these events and I know how easy it is for the horse's head to obscure the rider's or for pose to not be quite right, which makes these shots more difficult to get than people might otherwise think. You've nailed the pose on this shot and the technicals are excellent (it is so easy to blow the highlights on the abundance of bright white around on these events).
Disappointed to see 8 threes in the scoring, maybe because of the title? I didn't know overleap was a word, but a quick check whilst I was voting confirmed it is totally legitimate so I learned something too! |

the spiritby rodgers_leComment: This is weird. I like weird :-)
Nice idea to use the "ink in water" as part of the image - really adds to the ethereal quality. |

The hunterby svavaComment: Great model and is that a creative use of bamboo cane doubling up as the arrow shaft? The only slight distraction is the flash shadows cast from the right arm onto the left arm and torso - they are a little harsh. |

Lord of the Skiesby myceliumComment: Great merging of the individual elements - is that the creative use of a tree trunk for the neck !?! |

A Matter of Life and Deathby gyabanComment: Great image, great compositing. Lighting spot on for the individual elements and I'd love to know what the source of the the fire jet was.
Top notch - must ribbon. |
