His face is dark and maybe not in focus. I like the composition and the trash in the corner of the photo. The look on his face really makes me wonder what he is looking at.

I like the soft lighting here, but other than being a nice portrait it is a little uninteresting. It would be an even better portrait if her face was in focus and not her ponytail/bun thing on the back of her head.

You seem to have a common problem in all three photos you posted about. First off would be the lack of sharp focus. If you were going for a soft focus look, you need to start with a sharp image. By looking at your settings, you use a very small aperature when you could use a much larger and get faster shutter speeds giving sharp results. There is a lack of contrast/flat light. Last major problem would be the darkness around the faces. On this photo, fill flash would have made the subject pop much more while still maintaining your mood.

In voting I gave this image a 5. This image is composed well for the most part, but would have been greatly improved had you moved to the left a few feet so the pole was not coming out of his head and so that he would be standing in front of the white background - this would have allowed him to become the focus of the image. As with your other two posted, the focus here is soft. I would bet, with the lens you used, that you really cropped this down, resulting in the softness.

I gave this image a 5 in voting. Its great for a candid - I love the expression and emotion in the image. Unfortunately, the focus is slightly beyond him and he is slightly blurry. Also, the contrast is weak. The brightest spot in the image is the white bag in the background which draws my attention.
