Shapeby TimmyQComment: I had expected this to do better in the ranking - it was in my top 10, but I suspect that you are right in your supposition that it is too 'simple' for a challenge entry. I guess also that the marks on the background may have damaged the score, although once they are ther there isn't a lot you can do in basic editing. Good work, and I may take this idea and see if I can recreate it as I desperately need to learn lighting techniques.
You have made an excellent start to life on DPC - looking forward to more of your entries in due course. |

Simple Greenby noranekoComment: 57th place? I gave this one of three 10s, and I still love it just as much as I did when I first viewed it. I certainly had expected to see this in the top 10 - you will have to remain content that you have produced a photograph that has pleased a great many people, is frame worthy, and can stand alone on it's own merits outside of any themed challenge. |

upside down dandilion seedsby IreneMComment: "I really like this shot so I'm quite sure it won't do well...."
We all proved you wrong! I have looked at this a couple of times during voting; it really is very good. I do wonder if you re-shot it, it might be worth trying to psition the seeds at the edge of the glass so that they are completely against the black background - the idea may be a logistical non-starter, but may be worth considering. Either way, I love this one! |

Point to Pointby TechoComment: One of my three 10s in this challenge - I felt you really nailed it with this one (but glad you didn't get the blue ;¬P); I would love to be able to take something this good. |

La Patience Éternelleby yankoComment: Have I just unwittingly discovered the mystery of peculiarly low scores? I returned to this photo as a result of a mention in one of the forum threads, and could 'remember' giving this a 7; I certainly thought 7, but for some reason I have pressed the 4 button..... Apologies, and remain content in the knowledge that your score should really have been .001 (ok, I haven't done the arithmetic) higher! |

Ways Of Livingby e301Comment: I gave this a 7 during voting for this challenge, but have revisited it a couple of times since. In retrospect, I wish I had given it a 9 as it grows on me more every time I view it. Back now to add it to my favourites. |

Giant Pi in the Parkby cajayComment: Nicely composed, but wish the two peices of turquoise had been removed from the scene first. |

About 3.14by GeneralEComment: Come on, you didn't get your protractor out, did you?!! That aside, I like the idea, but wish you had stopped down you exposure by a couple of stops. |
