i ♥ booksby LydiaComment: I love the heart being imperfect.
Perhaps the books you used would have had the paper slip covers when they were new and just a plain hardback underneath? |

Windowsby ThingFishComment: Having done the Nijmegen Marches (100 miles in 4 days) I know Nijmegen well.
Great image, it doesn't look anything like architecture in the thumbnail. |

Ode to Joyby MelethiaComment: I keep coming back to this in my favourites and it is just so uplifting that I can't help smiling every time I look at it.
The 'almost in focus' birds against the moving background is just beautiful.

I'd be interested to know why you think starlings are ugly dirty and nasty?? |

"Remove the WHAT?!"by LydiaComment: My condolences, i know how you feel, my Dad died aged 50 when I was 20, 16 years ago.
The last words he said to me were "See you later" - same thing, not ill, massive heart attack.
You are absolutely right when you say to tell people how you feel. You may not get another chance xx |

Thanks for the link to the shot that inspired you - the one area in which I think it beats your own version for me is the way the light from the sparklers also makes the car itself visible - one can see the door, the registration plate, the radiator grill and the body of the car...
That said, I like the way your sparkler lines are thicker and show more of the flying sparks than the original version.

And this a FAR superior car of course :-) |
