A dog's best friend. It's read, but the whole composition seems a bit too snapshotty, ie. you saw a red object, snapped it, the end. 4. J

Comment by Citadel:
A simple subject and an interesting idea. The colors of the subject are rich and nicely saturated.

The composition is a bit dull. Getting lower would help for starters. Moving the hydrant off center would also help. Get a bit closer to give the subject more prominence in the shot or try getting away from the hydrant and relying its color to bring the eye to it.

The background of the picture is distracting. Using a larger aperture would allow you to blur out the background.

This hits the nail on the head for meeting the challenge.

you could make the composition stronger by placing the fire hydrant a little more to the right in the image.

the guitar being cut and the second person on the right are slightly detrimental.

Comment by nova:
This is sharp and the color saturation is good, but it does seem to have a snapshot quality about it, like a photo of a friend.

Comment by MRubillo:
Good picture. Convert it to black and white for this type of picture however. The discription said,"Long associated with photography, photographers like Henri Cartier-Bresson took street photography to the realm of art." All of Henri Cartier-Bresson pictures are black and white.
