It may have been an interesting shot to wait until the light turned green, the cars were on the road beside him, then framed it so that he was further to the left, instead of center.

Decent idea, but it's too dark and too empty. I think the darkness aspect speaks for itself. As for the empty space, I think this is the kind of image that would have been much better off framed vertically with the man taking up most of the space top to bottom and at the left hand edge of the photo. This closer shot would also let you read the signs he has asking for change a little better.

Nice composition depicting 'City Life'. the subkect is too dark for my tasts, if you are depending on the built in flash for ilumination you need to get in closer because the built-in flash usualy is not strong enough at any distance over ten feet.
