Nice image, but I feel it needs more contrast.

Comment by JeniY:
Great point of view! It's a fun picture! A tighter crop - cutting out some of the empty foreground and the blown out light at the left - might help make it a stronger shot.

Comment by Sheryll:
I really like this one overall but some things to do different next time or to try to fix in pp is the blured item in the front left foreground is a bit distracting and the crop is a little too tight on the left. I'd like to see more of the head on the stuffed toy. I like the dof and the angle of this shot.

Comment by wavelength:
Avoid blown out skies like the plauge. You had a fairly good idea here, but your technicals are killing you. The foot provides a nice point of interest, having a girl painting her toenails with some vivid colors would be better. The blown skies is more than an exposure technical, light draws the eyes. If the whole picture were high-key, then the preponderance of light would force the eyes to seek out details in what dark is left.

Mess with the levels on this, clip the blacks and white a TON, and increase the midtone contrast a bit. change the hue/sat decrease the lightness and saturation on the blues and up everything else a bit. Run a pass of USM (unsharp mask) at about 100,.5,0 but only at this size, larger pics need different settings than small.

color seems flat in this image....try adjusting the contrast/levels/and saturation some.

I'd crop the big part of the tree on the right hand of the image out....too blurry and distracting to provide any value to the photograph.

Well, the technicals are necessary as Nick said, but there REALLY needs to be someone/something even slightly interesting at the end of that gargantuan leading line.

Comment by rasdub:
cool perspective and good job making a compelling image out of a simple subject. I agree with what kiwinick has said regarding the DOF and focus.
