Ford Escort Cosworthby ronnersComment: I applaud that you are attempting the panning technique.
IMO Panning has to do with sense of motion but keeping a clear focus on the subject. I once saw a photo of a boat speeding thru the lake and I could see the individuals in the photo but you could just feel the mode of speed boat. Not sure if I saw it here or in a book from the public library. I think if you zoom out just a little and bring the focus a little more on the subject it may produce a different picture. This may improve or ruin your picture but it would just be for practice.
Sorry, I have no real experience with panning other than seeing others photos.....
I hope I have giving you a different prospective (for better or worse) none the less a prospective. |

Applesby jdw91479Comment: I see to much green on the red apple pair. It probably is a reflection of the green apple.

Covent Garden Buskersby floydComment: I love this shot. I wish I could be as talented as you.
Your composition id dead on. I'm not one to nit pic but I wish the fiddler's arm had a little bit of contrast. Maybe adjusting the levels.
I still would buy this picture if I actually bought picture. You did a great job.....
Keep up the work. |

Just like magnetic9999 said, However I would have not thought of but would have like to have the camera on the ground with selftimer and the butterfly would be blocking the reflection. This would have been a great shot. It still could be a great shot, if you re-take it.
Forgot to mention. not sure if you wnated the angle to be cutoff.
lastly you may want to have a wider shot so that you can straighten the bottom edge. currently, pedestal is not level with the bottom of the frame. Message edited by author 2003-08-06 21:08:05. |

Garden Bugby nathaliedooComment: The more I look at it tje more I see it out of focus. Was the center of original photo on the bug? It looks like it may be bordering on focus edge. Maybe the angle of your camera could also contribute to the mis focus of ALL the bug. Maybe trying you decrease the shallow DOF it would capture all the bug. Also increasing the shutter speed would help in the movement of the bugs antenna. At least that is what I see. With so many photo I see more great one which impact the rating in miner flaws. 4+4=10 Well I bumped it to a 10 |
