For her to walkby LonniComment: Looks a little grainy on my screen, but I love the focus, the composition - everything! Very nice work! |

... the Simplicity of Childhoodby Dr.ConfuserComment: I'm not entirely sure I like the yellow-greeny colors, but I realize from personal experience that christmas tree colors can be difficult to perfect... I was going practically insane the other day trying to white-balance! :D You achieved a much nicer shot than the ones I ended up with, especially since the lighting and focus are so superb. Great work! :) |

All I Want....Is A Friendby Piratefx07Comment: First of all, I'm finding the tilted horizon distraction. Also, this looks a tad underexposed... perhaps you intended that though, because it does give the image a very gloomy mood. I do wonder though, how this might look if at least something were bright. Perhaps the people passing by should be bright, and the boy in the dark, underexposed shadows, to emphasize the concept that he is alone while everyone else is enjoying the hustle and bustle of the holidays. That could probably be achieved with burning and dodging in photoshop. Just some thoughts - sorry for rambling. :) The composition is great here, and the black and white perfect. Overall this is a very nicely done photograph. |

A White Christmasby acoppolaComment: On my screen this is looking a bit more like a "gray" christmas... perhaps it was underexposed? Also, for some reason, the composition feels a little claustrophobic to me, but I don't know how that could be fixed. Maybe a less tight crop? Otherwise not bad - I like how clean it all looks. |
