Cormorant Fisherman by salmiakkiComment: Congratulations Sarah! Two blues & two lovely scores. They look great together on your home page. The colors are muted on this one, the air is misty, yet it has a nice crisp clear quality. Very pleasant to look at. And, it tells a story. Well done.

Iconicby PixelstateComment: Hi Chris, welcome back. I see smog, a haze that softens the edges & surfaces. Soft light. It looks incidental & if this was my comp I would've tried to make it the subject somehow. Or, tried a polarizing filter when shooting to minimize it. The Tower Bridge is an icon, of course. This means your shot is competing with many others in my memory. Not to mention all the other famous bridges in my memory. To get a higher score, this has to make my mind linger longer, past the moment of recognition to the moment of discovery. Just my opinion, of course. Keep on clickin' Chris! |

wallowing in the habitual, the banalby NiallOTuamaComment: I've been looking at this one for days trying to think of a comment. I like it. I like all your work for the same reasons--the rich tones & the satisfying presence of style. A point of view expressed without compromise. As I see it, your work is an expression of the way you see. I enjoy looking at it, purely & simply that. Thanks for posting. |

Who's that (spider)man?!by Alex_PetriniComment: Congratulations on the Blue, Alessandro. This is remarkable for the storytelling power, the sense of 3-dimensional space. Spider-Man commands our attention, but the others at the table are also fascinating. I was thinking it would score higher. Keep up the great work! |

Like a duck in a...tree?by giantmikeComment: This one is charming. I was just now admiring it when I suddenly saw the flying duck for the first time. Weird, how often I see more, & better, after the voting ends. |

Avian Botanicby wbanningComment: WOW! Gorgeous. After I enjoy (wallow in) the sensual delight of this comp, then I appreciate the effective use of DOF & framing. The light is great, too. You shot an everyday plant & revealed its exotic tropical soul. Why is this not on the front page where it clearly belongs? |
