The shot itself isn't at all bad... remember that DPC voters are very fickle... that siad, I do think your WB is a bit off, and I might have like an angle tha showed a bit more of the board... I think though that you did not to badly.

Inerestine photo but ther's nothing that anchors your eye to the photo. I think with one area of interest to draw one in and keep them there. this would be a better pictre.

other than that I like the vibrant colourse and even the glow that happening around some of the blocks... it's definatly neet.

don't you hate when you don't get any comments :)for me I actually like the shot and it looks like most did too.... remember that round here a five shot would likely be much higher anywhere else... so don't feel too bad about that.

composition wise I'm not sure why but it feels like the swan is staring right at me and thats a little creepy :) other than that I actually think you did a good job, DoF is perfect and the other technicals are right on too... nice work

very cute shot... I sort of wish you could have got it from the front... but not much you could do about that. really I think this might have been nicer as a colour photo as the grass would blend at a BG a little better...

little dark for my tastes the blacks are really black (rather than dark grey which preserves the detail). but her expressions is wonderful and composition is really good too. nice work

jusst looking at your choice of lens and wondering why you chose such a long focal lenght? regardless though the shot is quite nice, there is a small shaft of light right abot her that is a little distracting but the DOF mitigates that quite nicely (as well as the grass or something that if not for the DoF would be clearly sprouting from her head). not sure I like the placement of the has as it seems to be coming out from no where... maybe if the rest of the arm had be left in frame...

otherwise it's a pleasing enough photo to look at... nice work.

I would have voted this quite high if it had been in the negative challenge... I love the lines and the way the pods in negative look etheral...bit it also looks natural not out of place or like it shouldn't be... the cropping I feel is a bit off mostly because more of the bottom of the wheel is cut off than the bottom, but other than that... great shot.

great capture of the cation! and I agree that the crop adds to the photo. A couple things I notice right off the bat is that there are som areas that are almost blown out... stopping down the aperature a little or speeding up the shutter would help.

Your compostion is quite centered, to add a more dynamic feel to the photo I might have composed for the bulk of the horses to be either more to the left or even more to the right (which I know is hard to do with fast moving action).

like I because with this is a good photo and it really captures the essence of the horse race.
