Nicely emotive, catches the feeling of sorrow. Key light to the side would probably be better than straight on. Also, fewer photos / less-busy would probably do better in DPC, providing less distraction from the main subject.

I'm so sorry...I know what you mean. Even if we are sure that we chose our faith wisely so that we know we will see our loved one again, we still have to bear the dull pain of separation as we live out our Earthly days. You're in my prayers. :(

Boy, how to judge this picture? On the one hand, you have captured some genuine emotion and put a lot of feeling into this photograph. On the other hand, the picture is so incredibly up-front, with you holding the picture in your hand, and all the pictures in the background, and the composition is so amaturishly centered. The problem is that I have two forces colliding when looking at it: one force tells me to give a 10 for a *real* photograph of raw emotion, the other tells me to vote down for it being just a snapshot. I think that I'll assume that the snapshot feeling to this photograph is intended, and give you a 10, in the end.
