Bikes in Amsterdam

Ha! Having lived in Holland, I can tell you that Seattle's bikes are NOT better than Amsterdam's. Dutch bikes are better because people leave them lying around as a form of public transport - you steal one to get where you are going, and then when you get there someone else steals that bike and leaves you with another one to get home on! It's a perfect society with perfect bikes, imo. I love me them ol' bikes much more than those shiny new things!

Very symbolic! And dramatic, like an opera. The dying flower's petals look like period costume, worn by a fair and feisty heroine. The movement and colours are just right, and the metaphor is lovely. Fantastic. :-)
