A spoonful of medicine...by arminComment: congrats from your 18th place neighbor. Truly a disgusting shot. But I think that's exactly what you were going for! |

I Hear the Train A Comingby drewhosickComment: Originally posted by smyk: What could have you done to improve this shot? Well my opinion is that this is nothing special. Taking into consideration what type of photography wins on this site this is a photo not "worth" remembering. It doesn't stand out. It's just a picture of a train standing. As others have mentioned, crisp, clear and good composition but very interesting. "Anyone" could have taken the shot if you know what I mean. |
I agree w/ this comment (saw your request thread). Its just nothing special. Is it in focus, yes. Exposed correctly, yes. Does it get me any other response... not really. I probably would have given it a 5. Maybe cranking up the contrast. Perhaps a wide angle view taken from lower and closer to the train to exaggerate its size. Maybe taken at sunsets so there is detail or clouds in the sky. Try it again if you can on a different day. Go an hour before sunset and see how many different pictures you can take--maybe you'll find a winner. I struggle with subjects like these myself--its tough to make the mundane and normal interesting. |

Apocalyptic Premonitionby TallPaulComment: This is a very clever set up... you'll probably do well. I'm assuming you photoshopped up your news screen and then put it on the tv for the shot? |

Girls' Night Outby jsavinenComment: Is the drink drugged? I'm pretty sure that's what you are going for, but its slightly ambiguous. maybe if it included a man's hand in the image or something. not sure. Certainly a nightmare though. |

Until death parts usby vawendyComment: very spooky. my only complaints would be maybe a bit more contrast (but maybe not), and I would like to see a dressier shirt on the guy. |

Don't look under the bedby CuttoothComment: this shot is right there as far as the idea goes, but the execution leaves a bit to be desired. I don't know if the eyes are too bright, or that its because they are out of focus, but I find them distracting--which is a problem since they are the point! Its a trick lighting situation because I'd like more light on the feet, but obviously you don't want light going under the bed... hmmm... |

Intruderby Dano6Comment: I think angle of shot, lighting, and contrast could be worked on to add more drama and terror to your scene. |

Evil Horse of Deathby Breeee123Comment: Sorry, but even though the horse is crazy looking, he is much more funny than scary. I wish the focus were on his teeth and snout, but I do like the wide angle. |
