Eighteen to life...by chimericvisionsComment by chimericvisions: Yeah - I think I tried to throw too much into the photo to tie it all together. The "sculpture"/"cookie" is almost a little more disturbing than that. It was on the cake at my mother's babyshower for me (i.e. when she found out she was pregnant with me). It's a very large piece of 30-year old frosting. Not edible - I tried when I was a kid.
The comment about the test on the counter is accurate. It probably would have been better/more recognizable had I just shot it sitting on the bathroom counter, in its own element, as it were. |

Eighteen to life...by chimericvisionsComment by taterbug: Well, maybe not a ribbon winner, but, IMO, should of scored better than that. I thought it to be a good, creative take on the challenge theme, and not that far out of the box to understand. Oh well, darned speed voters :-) |

Eighteen to life...by chimericvisionsComment by Melethia: Seriously underscored. I got it. Good even light, good focus. The composition is OK, but I think the "baby" thing threw a lot of people. And at first glance, I thought the pregnancy test thing was one of those anti-theft devices on the clothing. Maybe instead of the sculpture, a rattle or a toy might have been better. Still, I thought it a nice picture - gave it a 6. |

Eighteen to life...by chimericvisionsComment by bdenny: Is that a cookie? If so, it's a very disturbing cookie. I didn't even notice the pregnancy test at first, I was too caught up in the cookie. IMO the test strip on the counter (sans cookie) would've conveyed the idea more effectively. |
