The Bagby timfythetooComment: so cute! i love the use of lighting and the way the background and cat match... it is like it is a black and white when it is in full color. the cat's eyes are the real focus for me. the writing on the bag is a little disappointing and distracting, but hey, i'm sure you snapped this with no planning and thats how it goes with animals. nice soft focus at the bottom. if there was a way you could edit out the words on the bag, i think this would be a lot better. |

The High Groundby zarniwoopComment: i never really liked it when photographers as artists photographed other people's work and claimed the photograph as an original piece of art work. seems like cheating to me. i do, however, like the composition... i kinda wish that the lady at the bottom would seem a little more aware of the animal stalking her... but i dunno.. it has a kind of stalker and prey feeling... she is unaware she is going to be attacked... lots of symbolism there... with how people live their lives unaware of the surprises and immenent attacks that society and the professional and corporate world has in store for us. good composition, great sybolism... but still cheating by using another artist's work. |

Capsized! (and hiding from the camera)by jjstager2Comment: you should crop out the land in the background and maybe clone the water to cover the bouys.... or crop them out too so you don't have the reflection of the trees. i think this would give you the illusion that this guy is stranded/desperate and hanging on for life just as he is hanging on to the capsized boat. |

Peeking Outby libertyComment: very nice photo. great composition. i feel like i'm standing in sand at the beach looking at an old dilapidated and deserted beach house and seeing a glimpse into the past. i love how the girl in the photo has no idea anyone is looking at her. feels like she is watching the ocean and waiting for her long lost love to return in one of the big ships. her face and eyes make me feel like the weather across the ocean is turning bad... maybe dark clouds are rolling in and she is growing worried.
love it! |
