Classic, very well executed. Shame about the boot print - hope it wasn't yours.

Wonderful, especially the swirl in the mid-ground. One of my favourites of the challenge

This is my equal #1 with a score of 9.
If you get to recrop this just leave a sliver more space at the bottom right, they need a little bit of space to fly into.

If you are going to shoot birds then you need to fill the frame. These two are insignificant elements in the composition and so the viewer doesn't really get a chance to see the detail.

As a pictorial image there is nothing really for the viewer either, so this image doesn't provide interest in sufficient detail or as a landscape.

If you are going to produce a landscape then absolutely everything from the first pebble at your feet to the last tree on the horizon needs to be in focus. In this image we don't get sharp until 6/8 feet from the foreground, and thats a shame. Use f22 and focus on something 3 feet out, that way the hyperfocal point will ensure you have the maximum depth of field.

This image has a strong foreground element but you waste it by making it out of focus. It then needs something in the distance to lead the eye to.

Rafting In The Rain

Rafting In The Rain

Comment:
Lots of classic mistakes evident in this shot. The subjects are all looking straight into the camera, and because of that the viewer doesn't get any feeling of 'action' or sense of fun. 3 on the raft and one diving/jumping in or splashing each other and obviously laughing might bring this image to life.
At the moment it's a record shot of some kids in the rain, nothing exciting to be an honest viewer.

Love em or hate em! , well I certainly don't love em.
There are many many cat shots here on DPC, the ones which stand out are usually created using extraordinary lighting or depth of field. Unfortunately this comes across as a very simple record shot. The blue eyes do help, but they are not enough in this case.

This one just didn't work for me, sorry. The house has a 'face', its looking right and out of frame, moving two or three steps to the right would have given it some 'looking room'. All faces need space to look into.
