I'm really not sure what has happened here, but somehow this seems to have lost it's texture, possibly replaced simply by noise. A great shame because the contrast in red and blue is great and I imagine the textures of the wood are fascinating.

Thanks for all the constructive comments. This is my first DPC entry.

This is a candid shot of my wife in a real dressing room in a dress shop in San Miguel, Mexico. I saw the shadow on the wall and the way the dress and wall paint interplayed. The light was so low that I had to rest the camera (Nikon Coolpix 5000) on the counter top. I removed the counter and a tissue box. From reading the editing rules I thought that level of editing would be OK. I just submitted the original at DPC's request. Hopefully my first entry won't be DQ'd ;-)

I was hoping for a higher score, but after reading the forums a bit, I guess I should be content with a 6+. 2 Favorites! I am flattered.

I see some amazing work out there as browse through the images. Hopefully I can keep up. I have an entry in Textures III that is doing about as well as this one.

Agreed this should have scored and placed much higher. Wish now I could say I was the one to give it the 10, I did not, but I did give it a 9. This would make a great fine art print. Kudos for your fine work.

A very nice image. Your model's dress matching the back wall is especially nice, as is the shadowed reflection off the upper wall that you smartly saw fit to include in the composition. It has a very casual, continental feel to it. Very well done.
